New Year, New Makeup – Foundation

30 Jan New Year, New Makeup – Foundation

Happy Friday all.

I always get asked what is my  favourite foundation so thought I would share this with you.

Now as an makeup artist I have to use premium products that work well for professional photography and are long lasting.  With this in mind I will always offer a more cost effective alternative.

My favourite foundation is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Luminous Silk Foundation

One of the reasons I love this foundation is because it feels so nice, it doesn’t feel heavy or like a mask.  It gives great coverage and can be built up for those that like to wear more. The result is an illuminous, flawless look.  Apply with a brush or your finger tips, start from the centre and blend out.  After applying just leave it to settle for a few minutes. It’s available in 15 shades so you are bound to find a match for your skin tone.

Now there various foundations for different skin types however I have found this liquid foundation has always worked well for all my clients as it doesn’t dry out the skin and get stuck in any lines.  It’s oil free and if you do have an oily t-zone a translucent powder can be applied after.

This foundation is available from most department stores and is around £35.

As its a gel it glides on well and is full of vitamins to give your skin a boost.  It does give you a good glow too.  It’s available in 6 shades. I would apply a good primer underneath though as it does have a tendancy to dry out after about 8 hours.

Hope you have found this useful, any questions contact me by completing the contact form.
