09 Jan New year, new makeup – Concealer
As it’s the start of a new year you might fancy clearing out your makeup bag of the old cracked makeup and use your Christmas money to treat yourself to some new products. So I thought it might helpful to show you some of my fav products in my kit and why I like them – starting with concealer:
I have used many concealers over the years but my favourite for hiding those naughty blemishes, dark circles and red marks is definitely Laura Mercier’s secret camouflage.
There are 8 different colour options and each one contains two shades, you can mix the shades to match your skin tone. Each shade could also be used on its own to highlight or contour.
The best way to apply this product is with your finger and pat onto the skin. If you have quite dry skin use this concealer over a liquid foundation or mix it with a touch of moisturiser. As its a dry concealer I would do this when using it under the eye area.
Below is an example of how this product removes the appearance of redness and conceals blemishes – this was done with no foundation and took less than 1 minute.
This is not a cheap product though, you can but it online from companies such as John Lewis, House of Fraser, Space.NK and its normally around the £26 mark, however I have found it will last you a long time and stays on all day.
